Government warns UK businesses: We'll shut down firms that hire illegal migrants

"UK Immigration Minister announced the new crackdown as it was revealed that eight million people born abroad now live in Britain.The additions to the Immigration Bill are designed to shake off the label that the UK is a soft touch.Ministers hope the law will make it impossible for illegal migrants to work, rent a flat, drive or open a bank account  Immigration Minister James Brokenshire said: “Illegal workers face the prospect of a prison term and rogue employers could have their businesses closed, have their licences removed, or face prosecution if they flout the law. ”
